From a family of entertainers, it's not surprising that Jerry Laskin would continue their tradition of providing quality entertainment and personalized, sincere service. His father, Harry Laskin, has been playing keyboard in orchestras and on his own for close to 50 years. Jerry's mom has also been a singer and dancer her whole life. Jerry's uncle, Sy Laskin, has an established orchestra and Sy's son, Martin Laskin, plays in the renowned Neshoma orchestra in addition to teaching music in Westchester county.

By 1980, still in college, Jerry had already formed his own disc-jockey and entertainment company. As program director, in addition to disc-jockeying and engineering at the college's radio station, Jerry had developed an early interest in this new form of entertainment. With the baby boom generation growing up listening to studio recordings, Jerry knew that a growing interest in a more economical but equally satisfying form of entertainment such as disc-jockeys would arise.

Jerry Laskin also possesses an extensive background in communications, operating as liaison between the media and public through amateur radio during natural disasters. He was even commended by Mayor Koch for the coordination of emergency communications via amateur radio for locating missing persons during natural disasters, such as the Mexican earthquake and Hurricane Gilbert.

In addition to experience with this unique form of entertainment, Jerry Laskin also possesses the gift of being able to work closely with people in an open and honest fashion. He is an affable, personable young man who is very articulate, and has a keen organizational and administrative ability. He approaches his responsibilities with a sense of follow-through on the commitments that he has made.

In 1984, Jerry graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in Economics. He attained his M.S. in Elementary Education in 1995. In the early years of his disc-jockey business, Jerry worked part-time as a substitute teacher in Elementary Education. This experience made him realize how much he loves to work with children of all ages and how much this business is really an opportunity for him to work closely with them. He is currently employed at Great Neck Public Schools as a computer teacher and troubleshooter for both teachers and students.

Today, Jerry Laskin continues to work harmoniously with his clients in a sincere manner. As he plans his client's affair, he strongly suggests that they provide a list of special requests so that he may personalize their affair accordingly.
